Happy 100th Birthday Roald Dahl
Today would have marked Roald Dahl’s 100th Birthday. The acclaimed bestselling children’s author was born on this day in 1916 in South Wales.
I really couldn’t imagine growing up without having read his books “Matilda“, “The BFG“, “The Twits“, “The Witches“, “James and the Giant Peach
Most of you would have either read one of his 48 published books or seen some of the movies adapted from his books. He wrote the screenplay for “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” as well as the James Bond film “You Only Live Twice”
Its no surprise that his books have been translated into around 60 languages worldwide!
He has greatly influenced and stimulated the imaginations of generations of children, providing a a fantastical, magical world full of wild imaginings that come to life out of the ink on paper. There is no doubt that his legendary works will continue to influence future generations of children as they read his popular stories.
